Yes I added the repositories. I went on through the guide and eventually
got the no symbol table error previously

Redoing the install here is the output

"yelp:
  Installed: 2.24.0-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 2.24.0-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 2.24.0-0ubuntu2 0

intrepid/main Packages
        500 http://ubuntu.cs.utah.edu intrepid/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
"
then

" sudo apt-get install yelp-dbgsym=2.24.0-0ubuntu2
sudo: unable to resolve host jahbuntu
"
My computer has been doing this unable to resolve host jahbuntu ever since
intrepid not sure what is going on there...(other than I named the computer
jahbuntu)

the rest of the output now says
"[sudo] password for elijah:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
yelp-dbgsym is already the newest version.
