This and subsequent postings contain kern.log, hal.log, lshal.txt as requested. The buggy actions are using Fn+F6 (lower brightness), Fn+F7 (increase brightness), unplug AC (reduce brightness to 50%), and plug AC in (increase brightness to 100%).
Same problem here: Fn keys adjust the brightness meter, but screen brightness is unaffected. Also, unplugging AC power sets the brightness meter to 50%, but brightness unchanged. Plugging back in sets the meter to 100%, still same brightness. I'm using a Fujitsu T4220 with Intrepid Ibex, but this problem doesn't seem to be restricted to Fujitsu. My boyfriend's Toshiba Satellite has the same issue. ** Attachment added: "hal.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/21599340/hal.log -- Cannot change screen brightness on Fujitsu T2010 laptop in Intrepid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220407 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
