This and subsequent postings contain kern.log, hal.log, lshal.txt as
requested. The buggy actions are using Fn+F6 (lower brightness), Fn+F7
(increase brightness), unplug AC (reduce brightness to 50%), and plug AC
in (increase brightness to 100%).

Same problem here: Fn keys adjust the brightness meter, but screen
brightness is unaffected. Also, unplugging AC power sets the brightness
meter to 50%, but brightness unchanged. Plugging back in sets the meter
to 100%, still same brightness.

I'm using a Fujitsu T4220 with Intrepid Ibex, but this problem doesn't
seem to be restricted to Fujitsu. My boyfriend's Toshiba Satellite has
the same issue.
