** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel Compiz worked fine in hardy. Doesn't work in intrepid. When I try to turn it on from System->Preferences->Appearance->Visual Effects, and choose "normal", I see a dialog saying "searching for additional drivers", then the screen visibly updates for a couple of seconds as window decorations disappear and reappear, then I see a dialog saying "Desktop effects could not be enabled [ok]". I click on "ok", and the effects level is back to "None".
