I'm having the same problem! I've tried lots of things without really knowing that much about the cups printing system. I think somebody who does would fix this in no time.
The closest I've gotten to success was when I tried the open printer driver and the instructions here: http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Brother-QL-500 I can then print a test page (looks a bit weired though). But when I try to print a text to it I just get some line feeds. I tried printing a large text and then I get just some words from the middle of the page. I've also tried the printer drivers from Brother but I can't get them properly installed. They have a deb for Debian Sarge 3.1 but the directory structure seems changed. I've tried with the instructions here also with no success.. http://www.panticz.de/ubuntu_brother_ql-500 Some other links.. http://etc.nkadesign.com/Printers/QL550LabelPrinterCUPS http://www.diku.dk/hjemmesider/ansatte/panic/P-touch// http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public_s/es/os/linux/index.html http://forums.linux-foundation.org/read.php?24,6874 Thanks for any help! -- Drivers for QL-500 found, but not downloadable, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/318536 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
