Unfortunately your Xorg.0.log doesn't indicate why the restart is occurring. What we need is either an error message or a backtrace. Guess we need to look harder. Can you please reproduce the issue and then attach all of the following?
/var/log/Xorg.0.log /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old /var/log/gdm/:0.log /var/log/gdm/:0.log.1 /var/log/gdm/:0.log.2 Thanks. We may also need to get a full backtrace, but let's start with those files. ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- acer 5920g media keys cause an x server to restart https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277461 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
