Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mozilla-firefox

When clicking on a menu in firefox, say the File or Bookmarks menu, often the
first entry get's executed instead of the menu being displayed, in the case of
the File menu this would be "New window", and so on. I noticed that this always
happens the the first time I click on a menu after starting the browser,
re-clicking on that specific menu afterwards makes it behave as it sould. On
the other hand, say I click twice on a specifc menu after opening the browser
to make it behave properly, I still have to do the same procedure for another
menu to make that one behave properly as well.
The menus work fine if I press and hold the button shortly.
The same issue, though less predictable, is present with the right-click,
especially if the context-menu is triggered while the cursor is in motion
(possibly related to bug #148381).
Using Intrepid x86_64, Firefox 3.0.5, Nvidia 180.22 Driver (GPU is 8600m gt),
no desktop effects.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
