The idea is that userspace stuff isnt needed to not open the storage device; kernel fixes have flowed into 2.6.28 (jaunty) and now into 2.6.29; just wanted to check whether your device is already fixed or if we need to look around for cherry-picks from 2.6.29 development tree.
