I have been searching forums to see if I could find a solution for this issue. I am sure it isn't a hardware problem (with your video card) and rather something that you might have to change in the setup.
Since X uses auto configuration it makes it a little more difficult to debug. Unfortunately it looks like I still need a little more information on this... Please include the information requested at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DebuggingXAutoconfiguration as separate attachments. The good news is that some people have got it working, so we will keep working on the issue until it works for you.
