Thanks for looking at my problem.

Re-installing Macromedia Flash and Firefox didn't fix the crash. I had to save
my home directory on another disk, reformat the hard drive, and re-install
ubuntu altogether, same level. With Macromedia Flash Player Beta 9 and 6.06LTS,
I'm up and running again.

How do I set fsck interval to, say, 5 years or 5000 boots for all hard drives?

 Thanks much, Jerry Amos
