I experienced this bug in Ubuntu 6.06 Desktop version (32-bit PC).

If I haven't created ssh-key, then it asks passwords and works fine. But
when I created ssh-key for a single account. After that every other
account that didn't have a ssh-key, hang. When I removed the ssh-key
files and rebooted, everything worked fine again. ( ssh-keys generated
via: ssh-keygen -t rsa )

I was connecting to two different computers, both where Ubuntu 6.0.6
Desktop editions and both where running the ssh server that comes with
Ubuntu. Normal ssh connection via command line (ssh) works fine. Both
servers where in local network.

My workaround was to create ssh-key for every single account, but that
requires a lot of work when one has several accounts.
