Very sorry for very late reply. I went for long holiday then when come back
i forget this

Now the situation is change. my old combo drive was broke and the new one is
*external usb*, I'm not sure this should be in the same  issue or i should
close this bug report. Anyway with 2.6.27-9 intrepid and my new drive when
insert vcd disc i get
