this is NOT a duplicate of that bug. there is something wrong with interrupt handling on edgy+ with some computers that prevents it from trapping the power button properly. as a result, the dialog does not come up no matter if you have the option set. if you press the power button a second time, the computer does a 'hard' power down (no shutdown procedure, nothing saved) as if you held down the power button.
