I utilize a USB Wireless Keyboard (Logitech Wireless Access) & Mouse (Logitech Mx700) on one Edgy system and don't see this problem. On my other system I use just plain cheap USB Keyboard (Nextech USB Keyboard) and Mouse (Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000). It works fine with a Dapper, Edgy, Feisty, and Debian unstable setup on that machine.
When you boot safe, are you able to get a command prompt at all? Is it possible to boot into Ubuntu at all? If so look at the following and paste the output here. type at the command line: dmesg | grep mouse cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep mice cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep mouse paste the output of those lines in a comment. Thanks for the report, hopefully we can get this working for you. ** Changed in: Ubuntu Status: Unconfirmed => Needs Info -- Edgy hangs on boot with USB key/mouse https://launchpad.net/bugs/75285 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
