Public bug reported: Hi, On my Jaunty (upgraded from intrepid) install on my ASUS m51sn laptop (3G model) there is a bug with the volume applet on the gnome- panel.
Upon left-clicking the applet and changing volume the application crashes completely before any setting can take effect. The applet can not be closed by the usual methods. A logout and login makes the desktop return to normal however the applet still produces these same effects. I can also confirm the crash occurs when right-clicking the applet and clicking to bring up the volume manager. Occasionally, this crash will cause the entire destop to become unresponsive. The only way to fix this is by going to a tty and doing a service gdm restart. I am unaware of any log files for this program but would be happy to post them. ** Affects: gnome-volume-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Jaunty] Volume panel applet crashes when trying to change volume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/317754 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
