Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-notifier

After installing a batch of updates (attached), I received the reboot
notification, clicked on it, clicked 'reboot later', then came back to
it and clicked 'reboot now'. Nothing happened. In ~/.xsession-errors,
I see:

** (update-notifier:4317): CRITICAL **: request_reboot: assertion
`client != NULL' failed

and this repeats each time I try. This doesn't seem likely to be
update-notifier's fault, but I'm not sure where to begin, so starting
here.
