Public bug reported:

I'm running a newly installed Intrepid on a Dell Optiplex 740. BIOS is
configured to suspend mode S3. Whenever I suspend my system everything
seems to be switched off and the computer goes quiet but the power
button keeps lit permanently instead going to blink. To restart the
computer I have to reset it by pressing the power button for some
seconds and then Ubuntu reports not correctly unmounted volumes during
the boot process. I could not find any regarding message in the logs. So
what's wrong?
