Hi everybody, it seems it has been nearly three weeks since last post, I don't know the current situation, however, I had the same problem and I found a temporary/quick solution. In nautilus, go to preferences, preview and set "show previews" to "never" for "other previewable files" (I am using gnome in a different language, so I am trying to guess the english names)
But I am using: opensuse 11.1, nautilus 2.24.1, so my solution might not apply to everybody.
