After shutdown. And power-up the tearing are back... but I've fixed with a simple "nvidia-settings -l" on "session" of Ubuntu (the application started on boot up). Now Vsync work perfectly. My os is Ubuntu 8.10 amd64/x86_64, kernel 2.6.27-9-generic, nVidia 8800 GT, 177.80 nVidia drivers, LCD connected on DVI port, at 60Hz, the model is LG L204WT.
