Public bug reported: I have been booting Jaunty 2.6.28-4 kernels on my Intrepid install. After a short time, approx 10 mins, X hangs. Normally I have just done something which uses compiz like resize a window; a nice see through blue thing is displayed. The operation hangs in the middle. The machine is still up so logged in remotely and the X server was spinning constantly doing this; 12 is second one of two fds attached to /dev/dri/card0:
