In response to WarrenTurkal's first question in the first post, yes the builtin keyboard on the Macbook Pro 2,2 fails during boot even after plugging in the external USB keyboard. Here is the sequence of events I tried:
1. Choose 2.6.28 kernel in GRUB menu and boot 2. User is prompted for passphrase to decrypt encrypted root partition. Built-in keyboard does not work. 3. Plug in external USB keyboard. Built-in keyboard still does not work. 4. Use external keyboard to enter passphrase. Booting continues. Unplug external keyboard. 5. Built-in keyboard works to login using GDM. 6. Built-in keyboard also works to login at the console. -- On MacBook Pro laptop with 2.6.28 kernel, keyboard does not work during boot (password entry for encrypted root) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/310460 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
