Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mpd

I installed mpd on a fresh 8.10 system, and I get this error:

Setting up mpd (0.13.2-2ubuntu1) ...
 * Starting Music Player Daemon mpd
                                                                  Segmentation
fault

              [fail]

Here's the backtrace (I installed debugging symbols).

Perhaps the use of pulseaudio in Ubuntu 8.10 conflicts with the default
mpd config somehow?
