So I'm guessing that the 'fix released' is to turn off compiz? That does the trick for me.
I'm curious to know if the issue lies in the video drivers or compiz? Where can we get a good status update on new code for either or both nvidia or compiz? Has anyone tried a newer version of compiz that is not from ubuntu software sources? I've not checked compiz for .deb or source installs. I do think that the issue can also be cleared up by restarting X either by logging out, or doing the old CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE combo.
