Public bug reported: Hi,
my intrepid desktop crashed over the holidays. I thought little of it until I had a quick look at the logs today. It happened exactly at midnight. All of our debian (etch) and ubuntu (hardy) servers passed the new year smoothly with ntpd adding the leap second and logging it exactly as expected. However, it appears Intrepid crashed at this moment. This is the last log in messages: Dec 31 23:56:49 ceartgoleor -- MARK -- Jan 5 09:34:34 ceartgoleor syslogd 1.5.0#2ubuntu6: restart. and syslog: Dec 31 23:59:01 ceartgoleor /USR/SBIN/CRON[16498]: (root) CMD ([ -x /usr/lib/sysstat/sa1 ] && { [ -r "$DEFAULT" ] && . $DEFAULT" ; [ "$ENABLED" = "true" ] && exec /usr/lib/sysstat/sa1 $SA1_OPTIONS 60 2 ;}) Jan 5 09:34:34 ceartgoleor syslogd 1.5.0#2ubuntu6: restart. I wonder did anyone else notice this?
