Kubuntu 8.10 Found a solution for this bug combining some ideas from the forums. 1. Make a "floppy" dir into "media" dir: sudo mkdir /media/floppy 2. Add this to fstab: /dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user, noauto 0 0 3. Mount floppy: sudo mount -o rw -t auto /dev/fd0 /media/floppy 4. Maybe manually add floppy group to root and normal user.
Don't now yet if some of these can be made automaticaly. Thank you all. I hope this may help others. P.D.: I think this issue is not a cause to reject such a solid O.S., but "obsolete" is not a good argument for any distro of a console-lover-system... -- impossible mount floppy device in /media https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103378 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
