Hi, I found a workaround in the meantime. The issue was probably due to CD burning incompatibilities. I burnt the CD's on computer A, and used them to install computer B. This always worked to the particular point in the installation where it was remounting the root filesystem. I tried several CD's this way. Sometime later I came to the idea to burn the same iso on another computer, and the install worked.
