How does apport test, if the package is a genuine Ubuntu package?

I have this problem sometimes with different applications (firefox for
example). I think this startet with the installation of -dbgsym packages.
Firefox is for sure a genuine Ubuntu package. Shall I upload the .crash file,
that is refused by apport?
Thanks.
