I am not sure if I am in the right place.
my problem is I can't play games anymore since everything is very slow.
I have GeForce4 MX 440
running this: glxgears -info
shows the following info:
GL_RENDERER = Software Rasterizer
and also:
XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0"
after 790 requests (352 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
I tried following this thread and tried this line:
sudo aptitude install nvidia-glx-96
but it didn't help.
Please provide me a simple step by step for solving it.
