Unacceptable. I already know that it's up to Lexmark to provide a driver, and that is NOT what this bug is about.
With previous versions of Ubuntu this printer worked following a howto. Now, it doesn't. Whether the printer is supported or not, there is no excuse for a regression. Ever. It worked fine before following the howto so whatever prevents the howto from working should be checked. This bug is probably something completely unrelated to Lexmark that prevents it from working. This is an Ubuntu specific problem.
