That link works just fine. I believe the timeout problem was definitely on Macromedia's end. After my upgrade and reboot I also attempted to go to Macromedia's website at that time and use their download link and it wouldn't download either.
I think the real bug here is that the package updater refused to give up and as a result I had to manually cancel the update attempt, and then the updater reported the problem and offered to file this bug report (to which I agreed.)
