Hi, If you are using Intrepid, you can use my ppa to install the latest version of Hugin, which fix this bug. You can find it at https://launchpad.net/~fabricesp/+archive This version is the one that will be in Jaunty.
If it works for intrepid, I will request a backport, to make more 'official' the version in my ppa.
