I do have the same problem, as long i understand it. Under Hardy Heron I have printed once or so successfully photos, but now the "page setup" selection in any application (so NOT ONLY EOG, but also at least Mozilla and GIMP) resets to "generic printer" (I don't know the exact English term, but it's the same in Achim's image), ignoring my previous choice (a hp photosmart all-in-one) and resizing the picture during every choice of the page setup to smaller and smaller parameters. The printing output is also smaller and smaller unless i restart the computer.
