When I lost my internet connection (and too, for example, "ls ${HOME}" didn't work anymore because of the sshfs connection I had at ${HOME}/fox/). Also; gnome-panel froze. Steps to reproduce: 1: use sshfs to mount a remote network location to ${HOME}/fox 2: kill the internet connection. 3: notice the gnome-panel hangs (try 'ls' in /home/, it'll hang indefiniatly too) 4: kill sshfs 5: notice gnome-panel works again Though I don't think gnome-panel should depend on applets not hanging, these are the applets running in gnome-panel: amarok, fusion-icon, ubuntu updates thingie, "tracker", battery applet, wireless applet, user switch applet, cpu monitor applet, clock applet, system monitor applet (On this computer, /home is a separate partition) ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-panel freezes when ${HOME} hangs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311042 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
