Yes, in Intrepid, /sbin/update-grup is still a shell script wrapper
which does nothing except emit this message.  With all due respect,
perhaps you could have checked directly rather than go through the
motions of asking the submitter.

The regex used in /sbin/update-grub is kind of flawed, the " *" is
completely redundant, but that's a different bug.

This bug is probably less visible now, because people will have updated
the contents of /etc/kernel-img.conf if they were bothered by this
message in the first place, and new installations ship with a default
/etc/kernel-img.conf which doesn't cause this message to be displayed.
