I'm getting this same problem, only I can reproduce mine every single time in three steps: open Brasero, click the button to open an audio project, navigate to my MP3 folder, double click on a song = screen goes dark and brasero stop responding. I have to then force quit.
Now, I recently noticed that this will happen every single time if I click on an MP3 other than the one at the top of the list first. If I click on the one at the top first, it'll play and then I can stop it and click on some other ones and sometimes even finish a whole CD without it freezing, but sometimes it will freeze halfway through. However, if I navigate to my MP3 folder and click on any file other than the one at the top, it freezes every single time.
