Update failed (not enough space on I-don't-know-which drive). So I restarted the LiveCD and launched the procedure again, but this time without selecting any user data import. This time it was successful. I should note that the /home from which I was trying to import data was the same as the "new" home, so that may be the source of the problem (importing data from/to the same place) (this home located in /dev/sdb6 is now shared by an ubuntu 8.04 32bits on /dev/sda2 and by my new install of Intrepid 8.10 on /dev/sdb1).
It seems quite similar to Bug #234835 but not exactly a duplicate. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/234835 -- ubiquity crashed with InstallStepError in configure_timezone() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/309941 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
