Public bug reported: Binary package hint: virt-manager
Hello, I'm following the advice I found here [http://tombuntu.com/index.php/2008/04/14/virtualization-with-virt- manager-and-kvm-in-ubuntu-804/] and here [http://www.greenhughes.com/content/virtualisation-with-kvm-and- virtmanager-kubuntu-804] to set up a virtual Windows XP on my Ubuntu 8.10 system. Everything works fine until I actually begin the installation of the virtual XP. As my attached screenshot indicates, I am getting a persistent message that "Setup cannot read the CD you inserted." It should be noted that this error occurs as the XP setup is initiated, not after the first XP reboot, which is another bug [https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238692] The CD Rom device is mounted and spinning... This is a genuine copy of XP that I used before I converted to Ubuntu. ** Affects: virt-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Virtual XP install problem: Setup Cannot Recognize Disk https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/309627 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
