Following an update prompted by the icon in the top right corner of Gnome, I no longer have any sound, including login. The hardware works fine in Windows XP. When set to Autodetect, it 'plays', but I hear nothing. SiS SI7012 with ALC655 SiS SI7012 (OSS) > Test = 'plays', but I hear nothing. PulseAudio Sound Server > Test = 'plays' but I hear nothing. OSS - Open Sound System > Test = 'plays', but I hear nothing.
