I probably had the same problem. Todays upgrades for 8.10 included console-setup1.25ubuntu4 During the upgrade process by update manager, I got a message something like this: "There are keyboard options in /etc/default/console-setup that are no longer supported. The configuration file is not updated" with a "cancel", "back" and "next" button. I pressed the Next button. A little while I got exactly the same message. This time I pressed "Back" (just to see it would do) That's when I got the error message: "E: console-setup: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 10" I will attach the console-setup file.
The system is fairly fresh. It's a clean install of 8.10 in use for about a month. The console output in case it's needed: Setting up console-setup (1.25ubuntu4) ... dpkg: error processing console-setup (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 10 ** Attachment added: "console-setup" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/20462831/console-setup -- package console-setup 1.21ubuntu8 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230036 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
