Public bug reported: Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree
Due to file changes by Adobe Systems, Inc., the Tape Archive install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz is no longer available at FPDownoad.Macromedia.com as Debian Synaptic for Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy expects for the Package flashplugin-nonfree-9.0.124.0-ubuntu1-gutsy1. Adobe has replaced the TAr cited with the Tape Archive install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz. I am unable to use the Debian Package install_flash_player_10_linux.deb on Ubuntu 7.10 (or its GoodOS derivative, gOS 1.2 Painful), as, being designed for Ubuntu 8.04-LTS Hardy and up, it apparently requires a newer LibCairo2 than is available for 7.10 from US.Archive.Ubuntu.com (so the GDebi Package Installer). In the meantime, is a workaround available until the Gutsy database is amended to account for these supplier changes which broke the Package flashplugin-nonfree-9.0.124.0-ubuntu1-gutsy1 as standardized? ** Affects: flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Gutsy] flashplugin-nonfree fails to install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/308405 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
