According to http://www.mjmwired.net/kernel/Documentation/iostats.txt, the information changed after 2.6.24:
"There are only *four* fields available for partitions on 2.6 machines." "In 2.6.25, the full statistic set is again available for partitions and disk and partition statistics are consistent again."
