I found the reason of the bug on display of icon bar of Firefox or Swiftfox
within a KDE sesion :
- simply some setting files have for some reason inherited "root.root" property
; I discovered this bug in reporting another bug : a lack of bash history
associated with konsole ; in this latter case the file ".bash_history" had a
"root.root" property ; once rest properly everything worked fine.

The reason I dwell on this particular problem is that I have seen people
reporting same bugs without apparently understanding the background
reason of what they observed.

I think that when using the sudo mode threr maybe on Intrepid confusion on the
way such workmode interact with user settings because the key question is wich
parameters to use :
- those of root : no because you are not exactly working as "root" only with
some "root" privileges,
- those of the user : I would say yes but then you have to be carefull not to
write in setting files with root privileges.

I would recommand here some further investigation juste to make sure
that my diagnosis is wrong.

Regards.
