Just had the issue again. I can not move windows with the mouse. Alt-F5 did however manage to minimize the application when it happened (firefox). The I manager to minimize the next window, xchat. I was then able to minimize/maximize xchat and work in xchat. But I could no longer use any of the other windows on the desktop. (nor can I open the menu or can I right click on panels.)
When I used cntr-alt-F5 and then changed back everything worked fine again.
