I confirm : I'm running Ubuntu Desktop 8.10 64 bits and I'm unable to connect to MySQL (5.0.67-0ubuntu6) with Mono (1.9.1+dfsg-4ubuntu2) and Apache (2.2.9-7ubuntu3 + mono-apache-server2 1.9.1-2). This is a critical error.
On an ASP.NET Web Form, when I try a MySQL connection, I get the following error : "Stream is not a valid .resources file, magic=0x6d783f3c Description: HTTP 500. Error processing request. Stack Trace: System.ArgumentException: Stream is not a valid .resources file, magic=0x6d783f3c at System.Resources.ResourceReader.ReadHeaders () [0x00000] at System.Resources.ResourceReader..ctor (System.IO.Stream stream) [0x00000] at System.Resources.ResourceSet..ctor (System.IO.Stream stream) [0x00000] at (wrapper managed-to-native) System.Reflection.MonoCMethod:InternalInvoke (object, object[]) at System.Reflection.MonoCMethod.Invoke (System.Object obj, BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) [0x00000] Version information: Mono Version: 2.0.50727.42; ASP.NET Version: 2.0.50727.42" Installing libmysql5.0-cil 5.2.1+dfsg-2 from Jaunty solved the problem. -- Cannot connect to MySQL server using libmysql5.0-cil 5.2.1+dfsg-1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292477 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
