Using 8.04 as both host and guest, kvm-62. Experiencing what we believe to be the same problem. We run kvm with "-nographic", with a serial console in screen.
Observation: guest continues to run normally, but there is no network connectivity. (The OP did not specify whether this was the case.) Since we do not have a VNC console, we cannot press a key in it to wake the guest up. Further observation: Pinging guest from host results in all packets being dropped. If we do "ifconfig eth0 down" in the guest, then the same ping results in "Destination host unreachable". If we then to "ifconfig eth0 up" then all packets are again dropped. Happens to us after the guest has been running after some hours (6-12?). At the time it was running unattended as a server, so no config changes were taking place when we lost connectivity. With a single CPU in the guest, the problem does not occur. -- kvm guests randomly freeze when using SMP, start again when key pressed in vnc console https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254492 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
