Thank you for attaching that. I'm marking this bug as Triaged so a developer can look at it and begin work, or ask for more information if needed. You are free to reinstall if you wish, I would just be skeptical since USB devices didn't work from the LiveCD either. It is quite possible that your USB ports are "cooked" as you said. If you had a machine with identical hardware you can try there, or if you have a cardbus USB adapter, that's worth a shot, too. If your machine has a warranty on it, you should have them replace your motherboard (assuming the USB are integrated). Best of luck.
