Just look at the back of your A21p. Is there a cover over the Ethernet port? If there is, you have the modem only card, if not, you have the full combo card.
8.04 and 8.10 both have Linux drivers (not having to use Windows ones) for most network cards (WiFi). Plug in your card and go to System- Administration-Hardware Drivers.
