Well, most HP printers require HPLIP to work correctly. According to their website (http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/laserjet/hp_laserjet_1020.html) your printer is supported. I'm going to convert this to a question on our Answers tracker under HPLIP. If nobody there can assist you, feel free to convert this back to a bug and we can work on it from there.
Thanks for taking the time to help make Ubuntu better. To our wonderful people on the HPLIP answer tracker: Can you please assist this gentleman in setting up his printer? question 39027 looks particularly relevant. ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: None => cups ** Changed in: hplip (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: cups => hplip ** Changed in: hplip (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** bug changed to question: https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hplip/+question/53184 -- Printer support in Ubuntu is lacking https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/303854 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
