There is no need to a file to increase backlight since you only need to know how to get and set the correct value. Since you made a script on for sony vaio geforce 8, it seems to me that your last post is solved. The problem in the script above is the "sudo" use, it seems you need to use the "HOME=/root" environnement path and full path to nvclock since you compile/install it in /usr/local/bin which is not part of the PATH environnement by default.
