Thanks... unfortunately my PC is in the process of slowly dying on me in general, specifically with Ubuntu it currently won't run X on an rt kernel (the drivers aren't there?), won't run MythTV on a non-RT kernel, won't detect my sound (can't load the firmware) and so on... Maybe I'll try Hardy again (I tried a re-install to Intrepid...) at some point but until then, I'm without a working Ubuntu system.
