Public bug reported: OS: Ubuntu 8.10(DVD image) Hardware: Tiger(10.1" notebook) Steps: 1.install 8.10 via GUI, but fail; 2.install 8.10 via text mode, success; 3.login OS via text mode; 4.start GUI via command line"sudo start x" and "sudo gdm", but failed to start GUI, the output indicated that the GUI thread already started.
